Many people come to counselling because they are struggling with anxiety, low mood, stress, panic attacks, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, or feeling overwhelmed. They may not realise that these experiences can sometimes be linked to past trauma or adverse life experiences.
At Survivors Support, we understand that trauma affects everyone differently. You don't need to identify as having experienced trauma or have a diagnosis to access support. We will work with you to understand your experiences, make sense of your symptoms, and help you move towards healing in a safe, compassionate and trauma-informed way.

For full-fee paying clients, there is no waiting list, allowing you to begin when you feel ready.
Sessions are guided by your needs, goals and readiness, whether you are looking for shorter-term support or open-ended therapy.
We understand the impact trauma can have on emotional wellbeing, relationships, confidence and day-to-day life.
We offer a counselling space that is private, respectful and centred around you.
We provide trauma-informed counselling for adults and young people affected by all forms of interpersonal trauma and the lasting impact of difficult life experiences.
If you're unsure whether what you've experienced could be considered trauma, or would like to understand more about how trauma can affect the mind and body, we invite you to read our What Is Trauma? resource. It explains how trauma can develop following many different life experiences, including abuse, bullying, medical trauma, bereavement, accidents and other overwhelming events.
Support is available for people experiencing:
We also recognise that the effects of trauma are often felt beyond the individual. Support is available for non-abusing partners, family members and loved ones who have been affected by the impact of another person's traumatic experiences.
