I have worked in this profession for 19 years and have experience of working with children, young people and adults. I have worked in schools, mental health agencies, out in the community as well as my private practice.
I work as a Therapist, Counselling Trainer and Clinical Supervisor holding Registrations with the BACP and NCPS.

There are many agencies that are doing some fantastic work with clients who have experienced sexual violence for free and long may this continue. With a mix of short term 12 sessions and some longer-term work available too, however with funding limited, sadly many agencies are facing the prospect of their counselling services being reduced or closed. Where does this leave you?
You can also access support in therapist’s private practices again doing some great work with a variety of costs to this.
I would like to give people more options and choices. Decide for themselves what they need by delivering a service at affordable prices enabling client's to feel empowered and have choices in their recovery.
In February 2025 Survivors-Support was born.
At Survivors we ensure that our therapists have completed additional training to support this work and understand the complex nature of working with sexual trauma as well as offering their services at a REDUCED fee.
My aim is for clients to have access to fully qualified, Registered Therapists delivering specialist counselling offering short- and long-term contracts at AFFORDABLE prices. Enabling survivors to choose if they would like short- or long-term support with the option of alternative methods of support also available.
There are also a vast amount of people that do not want to have counselling, or ever share their story, but would like some confidential support.
I have developed a workshop which can be delivered online or face2face giving survivors some education, coping strategies and tools to support you in your recovery and everyday lives.
I have a profound sense of purpose for this work. I too am a survivor. After 7 years of weekly therapy I no longer need to to manage triggers or flashbacks with the use coping strategies. I am very aware of what can be achieved with the right support. Having counselling was one of the best things I have ever done.
This of course is different for everybody.
A project that is in its infancy is continuing to develop………
