Survivors Support is here to provide trauma-informed counselling and emotional support for individuals who have experienced abuse, who have experienced abuse, trauma, or difficult life experiences and organisations looking for workplace support.
Our services are open to adults and children and young people who may benefit from therapeutic support. If we are unable to meet your needs directly, we will always try to signpost you to another appropriate service.
Yes. What you share in counselling is treated with respect and confidentiality. There are some legal and safeguarding exceptions where we may need to act to keep you or someone else safe, and these will always be explained clearly.
We aim to keep counselling as affordable and accessible as possible. Some services may be free through funded projects, while others may involve a fee.
This is an important question and one we believe in answering openly.
While some counselling sessions may be delivered by trainee or student counsellors working towards qualification, the service still requires professional oversight, safeguarding, administration, and clinical management.

Yes. Student counsellors work within professional and ethical frameworks and receive regular supervision. They are supported to ensure safe and effective practice.
Counselling can help if you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, low in mood, struggling with PTSD, trauma, relationships, self-esteem, emotional regulation, self harm and suicidal ideation. We can also discuss your needs before starting.
